Your workforce is here.

Chattanooga has become intensely focused on delivering talent prepared for the knowledge‐based, innovation economy.

From preparing high school students for careers to traditional university programs to  advancing adult education, the talent pipeline in Chattanooga is ready to fill the technology jobs this Gig City is attracting.

The BlueCross Technology Academy at Red Bank High School engages students in hands-on projects and provides real-world learning opportunities at BlueCross BlueShield's Chattanooga location as well as one-on-one mentoring and other support from industry professionals.

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) will soon enroll students in its double accredited data analytics program. UTC also recently unveiled one of the first smart city test beds, a town-gown partnership helping researchers study infrastructure that could improve public safety, traffic and more. Seven public and private organizations back the project, and Chattanooga’s 10-Gigabit network allows for speedy data transmission and immediate computing power.

Global companies collaborate with our colleges and universities to cultivate talent. University students in the Unum Scholars program glean practical experience in various business areas through year-round paid internships. Scholars work 15-19 hours per week while in school and up to 40 hours during school breaks.

Our tech-savvy town even offers unique opportunities for continuing education, like Center Centre. Leslie Jensen-Inman could have started the first and only dedicated UX design school anywhere. She chose Chattanooga.

Thousands of graduates call Chattanooga home and we continue drawing top talent from around the world, the country and the region. A short drive from Atlanta, Nashville and Knoxville, our location makes it easy to recruit from schools like Georgia Tech, Emory, Vanderbilt and the University of Tennessee. We embrace our ChattaNewbies by welcoming them with tailored networking opportunities.

If that and our quality of life aren’t enough, Chattanooga offers a slew of meetups, hackathons and tech conferences like Alexa and Project Voice, where your team learns alongside the best talent in tech.
